How did Sean Marsee develop cancer so quickly?

Sean Marsee died from oral cancer due to chewing tobacco for 6 years. How did he die so young....how is it even possible to develop cancer that quickly? Was it hereditary? Is it really possible to develop cancer that quickly? Thanks
